Who is Michael
I have been helping individuals, couples and families since 1991 as a full time Pastor, and since 2007 as a professional therapist. I and my wife, Candace, and our four children returned to Round Rock to be near family and serve our hometown community. We both have roots in Austin, where we were born and raised. Candace and I were married in Austin in 1991.
Why Counseling? As a minister, counseling has always been a part of my work week. As counseling consumed more time each year, I soon realized that my seminary training did not equip nor prepare me to effectively counsel real people with real problems in real life. After graduation and state licensure exams in 2007, counseling quickly became a full-time job. My practice specializes in helping couples and families in conflict, parent-child relationships, adolescent/teenagers issues, life transitions as well as pre-marital counseling.
Note from Michael’s Best Friend:
Michael refuses to say it. . .so I will. I have known Michael since 2000, and we have been close friends ever since. What I observe in Michael’s life is a wave of positive influence in all his relationships. Wherever he goes, people are changed and blessed. He is such a gifted man, with discernment in observing people, and using that for the benefit of the other person – it’s remarkable! Even more remarkable is Michael’s concern for people, because of his absolute love and devotion to Christ. He is my hero and friend. If I were called on to select one person from the 7 billion on the planet to help me overcome an insurmountable problem, it would be Michael Kinser.
